Simone! Design Flashback

With the opening of Shhhh, I thought I would take a look at some of my personal favourite classic Simone! gowns that I am sure many others already know and love. However, in this fast changing world of SL fashion, sometimes people miss designs from days of yore... And believe me there are many gowns that NO ONE should ever miss... Especially as you can now get them for 100L!

Mansfield is one of the first Simone! gowns I ever bought and it is still one of my favourites. Admit it everyone... this gown is just drop dead Smexy! A show stopper if there ever was one, Mansfield is perfect for impressing everyone in the room...
Or perhaps leaving that special somone absolutely speechless.
You can tell that this is a gown designed to show off your AVI's best 'assets'! As with all Simone! gowns, the thing that sets it apart is the detail and the shading... But I'll let the images speak for themselves... Not ALL the original colours are available at the 100L Discount Outlet, but I know for a fact that this Burgundy one is... I just picked it up there!

Another one of my favourite gowns is called Carmen... And it was one that only recently reappeared from the fabled Simone! inventory to grace the walls of the store. Carmen is available in a range of fruity colours and is a gown to live your second life to the fullest in! The movement in the flex skirt is amazing... I know... I have already put it to the Dance test... And I OWNED the salsa!
At 100L you can't go wrong with this gown... This is the Carmen in Cherry... But there are others and I'll admit that even though I am not a yellow girl at heart the Lemon is to die for!
These are only two of the fabulous gowns available at the Shhhh 100L Discount Outlet at Hotei. Take the time to stop in and have a look around... I am sure you won't be disappointed.
For those who might be interested... I should really give you the accessory details from the snaps as well. The Skin is the new TaP Vivant Lusterous1 from Tete a Pied, the jewellery is Ame True's full circle bracelets and earrings and the hair is my new favourite from Bish... Beddy in Black.
Alex :)

Countdown to Christmas!

Almost a week till that holiday we love so much. Just in time for those formal events you'll be attending comes (Simone!) Christmas Glam with all types of options. First is the lovely detailing down the front with pearls and jewels adorning the bodice. Expensive fur accents on the shoulders and sheer skirts that swirl elegantly around your ankles makes this the perfect dress that will turn any head in the room of whatever event you attend. Check out the pictures below!

Remember! These beautiful gowns will only be available till Christmas! Next up: Slutwear :)

What kind of Christmas Carols do you like best?

For me, I like to hum "Winter Wonderland", particularly the part about the snowman and Parson Brown :) So what does this have to do with my blog post? Well the name of the gown is Carol and this was the closest connection I could make between the gown and Christmas!

Now this dress has two options. One is with the sleek simple system skirt that hugs your body in all the right places and is perfect for that holiday cocktail.

My favorite part about this release is the voluminous skirt! The pictures don't do it justice. When you float across the dance floor or just walk across the ballroom, everyone will turn their head as they see the hidden layers of your gown revealed with miles of white lace and green satin trailing behind you.

The last photo attempts to show how this gown looks like in motion. Ignore the white poseball. I couldn't get it to set to invisible!

Thanks for reading! And there will be more releases to come! If you haven't stopped by Simone's recently, please do. She just another new collection of gowns for the holidays. I'll be putting up pictures of them here soon so stay tuned! Credits Below.

From Simone Herself :)

Ok here's how the game's played: I’ve been tagged! :O It's my turn to post eight random things about myself to my blog (which will be posted shortly) and then tag eight people!

Here's an example of how this works:http://chrisyjewell.wordpress.com/2007/12/03/mercy-meam-i-tagged/ This person tagged me, and now I am taggin' you!

My post is as follows:

Random things .....

Well, jeez, if there are eight random things people don't know about me it's because they haven’t asked! :O

But let me give this a stab anyway.

I love color. Bright brilliant color from red to indigo to... oh, I guess you would know that from my work. =p Neeeeext.....

Um, I have cats! Well a few of you know that. But you don't know the NAMES of my cats! So here you go. Cuddles (she has gas, hence the name 'Cuddles' was funny because picking her up is sure to make your day 0.0)

Trouble (this is the cat who has to be rescued quite often, and will find places like the top of a door to pounce you from if she wants to be cuddled. So, trips to the bathroom late nights are sure to be rewarded with the claws of fury from above.)

Sweetpea (this darling is just the sweetest cat in the house, and she has the face of a stuffed animal)

Angelpuss, AKA "Pusszirra" (Pusszirra was originally born with the face of a little angel, but she has the disposition of "Kitty Who Ate Tokyo" if you are not careful! The vet even made a note of her temper in her paperwork!)

Don Duan de Gato (He's a lover boy, all the ladies looooove Don Juan)

Squeaks (That's the sound she makes, and she never shuts up!)

Eek

Boo (Eekers and BooBooKitty are brother and sister, joined our house right before Halloween. They are both black kittens, very playful, they love to hang out under the couch and attack feet or other kitties)

Chairman Mau Mau, Queen of all Whom She Surveys (She's the first cat to adopt us. She rules the house with a vengeance, spiking any kitty who dares approach Her Majesty. She can always be found on the fattest stack of pillows, the softest spot in the house, or occasionally belly-spread directly over a heating vent)

Yau Yau ( This is another gray kitten who found us right before Halloween. A neighbor was evicted from his home and rather than taking his animals to a shelter or adoption center, he set them all 'free'. Two were killed by cars, and we now have the other 5.)

Twiggy (This is the cat who came to us right after Mau Mau joined us. She was almost dead from starvation, hence her name, all her teeth had fallen out due to malnutrition, her hair had fallen out, and she was pregnant. She is the mother to 6 of these cats, and her full name now is "Twiggy the Butterball") :D

Krunk (This full grown male is more dog than he is cat. He 'trots' wherever he goes, has the grace of a dog, plays like a dog, and loves to chew on things, like a dog. Very sweet cat, very muscular, hence the name.)

Flower (You guessed it, from "Bambi". She was about dead from starvation as well, and fully grown. She was timid and weak at first, but is fattening up nicely and has begun to show us her playful personality. She looks like a mirror image of Don Juan, so I am already in love.)

Precious (This kitten was born outside, so her coming in the house took a lot of coaxing and love. She's got the softest coat of any of the cats, and is the tiniest. Stephen swears I named her Precious just so I could use my "golem" voice and quote from the movies.)

And last but not least, FuzzButt. :) Fuzzers is the first born of Twiggy's litter. He's part Maine Coon as are all her kittens, so this means bigger cats with wider paws, triple layer coats, longer muzzles and different personalities than other cats. They're sort of the clowns of the cat world. The others in the litter didn’t get the long pretty coat, but Fuzzbutt did. He's also the biggest cat in the house. He doesn't like to cuddle, until you make the mistake of falling asleep on the couch, and then you're a convenient heating pad for him as well as 5 or 6 other cats. Imagine waking up with 6 ten-pound cats on you! :O

Now that I'm done talking about my cats, I'll give you 7 other things:

2) I love red sweet wines, especially Mavrodaphne. Greek wine is from ... the gods. ;-D

3) My fave show on TV is "Dexter" on Showtime. Funniest comedy on TV at present. DO NOT
MISS IT! :D

4) I was "trekkie" LONG before it was cool to be. ;-D

5) I have eight pierces, but I'm not gonna tell you WHERE. More fun to let you imagine where! :O

6) Some of my favorite authors are Richard Bach, Taylor Caldwell, Ospensky, Gjurdjeff, Krisnamurti, Gibran, Khayyam.

7) Cary Grant! *long, dreamy sigh*

8) I cnae' tpoe wotrh a shti!

There ya go! Eight random things. :DTags Ciera, Popfuzz, Salome, Una, Ambergris, Bootski, Stella, and Neferia

Now for something a little different...

Last time I showed you a gorgeous Christmas dress but now it's time to depart from the ballroom of Paris to the bar of the Moulin Rouge. The beautiful part about this outfit is that you get so many options for such a great price! There's the white bodice...the black bodice...the white ruffled skirt...the black ballet skirt...and of course the heavenly corset. Check the pics below for the detailing. My favorite piece is the corset for its vibrant colors and it's on a jacket layer so could go with any other pieces in your wardrobe. Sweet to Sassy, Nina has it all. Be on the look out for pics from this piece in the other colors it comes from :)

To check out this lovely set in world, head to Simone (137, 148, 36). Only a few more days left until the half off sale ends so hurry in and take advantage of these deals today. It all ends on Monday :)
